E. Howard Gravity Escapement Tower Clock

Serial no. 767. A very rare no. 2 Dennison double three-legged gravity escapement-type clock with time and strike. Features a four-way dial differential on top. Provenance is known from new beginning with Muncie, Indiana high school, where it remained in clock tower. Following school's demolition, it was acquired by Brown Collection and finally entered the Milhous Collection. Accompanied by large photograph of original clock tower as well as original Howard factory records of this piece, courtesy of tower clock expert Rory DeMesy. Original paint and Queen Anne legs. 60x71x39 inches.
