Massive Louis XV Style Mantle Clock

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Patinated and gilt bronze, 20th century, unsigned. Clock movement set into a sphere with applied Roman numerals and stars, resting upon a swirling representation of the wind and surmounted by stylized cloud bands with a pair of frolicking birds, two seated allegorical putti representing Love and Music center a classical armorial hung with a long bow-tied swag. Excellent condition, patina lacks all signs of wear. 43x37x9 inches.
