Soldier's Surprise Chromolithographic Print. Sixth Corps soldiers discover rebel scarecrows and fake artillery behind some breastworks. Printed on fabric covered multi-ply cardboard. Print signed in lower left: "Julian Scott, 1872." Image mounted in a molded walnut frame with gilt fillet: 16"h. X 20 1/4"w. sight and 20"h. X 24"w. overall. Condition: A few flakes off image surface. No glass, loose in frame.
