Civil War Photographic Portrait. Young man with post development coloration of his uniform. He is wearing the issue full dress infantry blues. Dark blue nine button frock coat with brass shoulder scales, sky blue kersey wool trousers, oval brass belt plate on belt with cap box and a Hardee hat with plume and infantry bugle. Side long arm appears to be a Springfield rifled musket with bayonet. Image on paper with a cloth backing in a ornamented gold painted frame fillet. 21 1/2"h. X 17 3/4"w. overall. Condition: Good. Card in back indicates image of Ambrose Quay of the West Chester Blues.
