Carved and Polychrome Painted Wood Indian Princess

Carved and Polychrome Painted Wood Indian Princess Tobacconist Figure Signed "S. A. ROBB, 195 CANAL ST." on top of base. (Samuel Anderson Robb, New York, circa. 1851 - 1928). A feathered headdress adorns long dark brown hair with gold earrings. Figure dressed in red cape with blue dress having gold fringe and floral breast collar. Legs have red garters and gold trimmed brown moccasins. Princess is holding a spear and tobacco leaf in her right hand and a box of cigars in her left hand, box is decorated with name "P.S. KEENER, FINEST DUTCH CIGARS". Two tiered platform base with painted gold numbers "340" and mounted with iron wheels. 72" high. Condition: Good with vertical age crack on back and wafer iron repairs to the original headdress, paint refreshed.
