Fine and Rare Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Chippendale Softwood Paint Decorated Jelly Cupboard, circa. 1760-1790. Red ground with tulip and six-pointed star decoration. Molded cornice, two split lip-molded dovetailed drawers, above two double raised-panel doors with original wrought iron hinges and fluted stiles, shelved interior, beaded back-boards, molded and stepped base with ogee bracket feet and cut-out spurs. Dovetailed, pegged and nailed construction. 62"h x 44"w x 20"d. Condition: good, replaced brasses on drawers and repair on wood at one hinge, mouse hole at door bottoms, normal wear.
