Wm. Penn's Treaty with the Lenni Lenape, 300th Anniversary (1682-1982) oil on canvas. Image of Penn and a Delaware Chief exchanging wampum with witnesses of a wolf, a terrapin and a wild turkey. A spread eagle with red banner, colonial and state flags and a wampum belt surround the central image. Signed in lower right of central image: "L. Appleyard." Mounted in wormy chestnut strip frame: 25"h. X 31 1/4"w. Condition: Good, no damage.
