Full Length Watercolor Portrait of "Elizabeth Tyson, aged 34, 1842." Executed on light cardboard and showing the Lady in a blue printed silk dress with capped sleeves; overbid bodice; applied decorated ribbon; white collar with pink bow; a lace edged bonnet with pink ribbon. Wearing her gold rings and holding a testament. Also in the composition are a decorative floor cloth, a high mahogany side table with blue urn of flowers and a crimson drape with fringe. Painting matted and mounted in a mitered cherry frame. 12 1/4"h. X 8 1/4"w sight and 17 1/2"h. X 13 1/2"w. overall. Condition: Water stain and erosion on lower right corner, solar toning and additional moisture stains around perimeter.
