Condition/Details:This is a rare antique account of the Civil War experiences of Augusta, Maine, native William Lapham. The work is SIGNED on the first blank page: "With kindly regards of Wm. B. Lapham," dated 1893. Lapham served in both the 23rd Maine Infantry and the 7th Maine Mounted Battery of Artillery during the war. The volume is in excellent condition, bound in navy cloth with bright gilt spine lettering and decorated endpapers.
