Condition/Details: This is a confirmed First State of Fitzgerald’s landmark novel of the roaring ’20s. The volume has all the points of a first state: Page 60, line 16, reads “chatter” rather than “echolalia”; Page 119, line 22, reads “northern” rather than “southern Minnesota”; Page 205, lines 9-10, read “sick in tired” rather than “sickandtired”; Page 211, lines 7-8, read “Union Street station” rather than “Union Station”; and the copyright page bears the Scribner’s seal. Bound in green cloth, the book is in great condition with some light wear outside, sturdy binding and hinges, some age toning to the pages.
