Description

Maxine Jones (1916-1990) personal Edward H Bohlin saddle presented to her by her 1st husband, Noah Beery Jr during their marriage. The floral carved Edward H Bohlin, Hollywood, saddle is maker-marked on the rear of the Cheyenne roll cantle. The original quilted seat is 15” and the saddle is adorned with four 1 1/2” slotted engraved Bohlin conchos. Unusual, mochilla-style square skirts with matching floral carved saddlebags attached to the rear with Maxine’s M brand -- probably added after she divorced Noah Beery in 1966. Maxine’s married initials MJB (Maxine Jones Beery) are carved on the rear skirt Lot comes with Letter of Authenticity signed by Buck Beery
