Very nice Chinese hand carved teakwood figural Ruyi scepter with lingzhi design to top. Buddha is depicted reading an ancient scroll as his attendants hold open the scroll and others look on with admiration. Also in the scene are trees and bats. Has etched calligraphy to base. 19th century. Measures 14 1/2" length x 4 1/8" height (36.1cm x 10.4cm). Total weight of 689 grams.
