Very fine Japanese hand crafted and painted lacquered wood inro box. Depicts a maiden in layered robe seated near a table and holding a fan with mother of pearl inlay work. Verso depicts a landscape scene with Mt. Fuji and bird. Has 6 sections and 5 compartments. 19th century. Measures 3 3/8" height x 2 5/8" width x 1" depth (8.5cm x 6.6cm x 2.5cm). Total weight of 77 grams.
