Dezertir truda yavlyayetsya pomoshnikom kontr-revolyutsii [The Labor Deserter Is the Accomplice of Counter-Revolution], a poster published by the Propaganda Section of Glavkomtrud and Narkomtrud, Moscow, 1920. 89 x 71 cm.

In 1920, posters with similar slogans became a familiar sight at every workplace - see, for example, the opening passages of Boris Pilnyak's Machines and Wolves. They reflected the Military Communism period policy of making some form of employment mandatory for every citizen of revolutionary Russia.
