Volokitchiki vrednee gryzuna i chervyaka dlya poley i dlya stanka [Bureaucratic - Procrastinators Do More Harm to Crops and Industrial Production than Worms and Gophers], a poster by G. Alexeev. Published by RIO VTsSPS (Publishing Department of the Trade Unions Council), Moscow, 1927. 53.5 x 36 cm.

Alexeev is a common last name. Tentatively, we attribute this poster to the Moscow sculptor and artist Georgy Alexeev (1881-1951). He is better remembered as a sculptor who produced one of the first authorized Lenin busts (1918), but apparently had also worked in poster production. We found references to two other posters produced by the artist; one of those was published by RIO VTsSPS in 1927, lending strength to the attribution.
