Pokorim Kosmos [Let Us Conquer Space], an attractive space-themed poster by Leonid Golovanov (1904-1980, Meritorious Art Worker of the Russian Federation). Published by IZOGIZ, Moscow-Leningrad, 1960. 85 x 57.5 cm.

Graphic artist Leonid Golovanov started producing posters during WWII, first for the Red Cross (under V. Koretsky), and then for the Military Art Studio (under N. Zhukov). He continued to work in this field after the war with considerable success, and was awarded a State Prize in 1951.
