Chinese Republic ivory carving of a maiden with a child. The maiden stands tall with flowing robes and holds a fan height in one hand and a ceremonial broom in the other. A butterfly sits on the end of the maiden's broom. A young boy stands opposite the maiden, and he holds a perforated fan. The figures are separated by a large flowers. Pieces stand atop a wood base.
