Ferdinand Barbedienne Gilt Bronze Lamp

Gilt bronze vase, which has been converted into a lamp, bearing the signature of Ferdinand Barbedienne. The neck of the piece has a dolphin figure on either side; the main part of the lamp contains a scene in relief of ancient Greeks making offerings to the gods. The signature appears as "F. Barbedienne." Vase measures 17"H, the vase with the lamp attachments and shade measures 34"H.
