Owens Lotus 16 3/8" Vase by Chilcote - Mint

Very tall and rare Owens Lotus vase by Charles W. Chilcote. On a light blue to light cream background, Chilcote has decorated this massive vase with two open lotus blossoms, one closed bud and two leaves. This decoration is almost minimalist in nature, with the effect being very nice. This vase is pictured on page 65 of Owens Pottery Unearthed by the McKibbens and Stoffts. The vase is marked Owens 1249 on the base and signed Chilcote on the side in slip. Mint with even, overall crazing. 16 3/8" tall.
