AMERICAN & GERMAN STERLING, ENAMEL & METAL SEWING CASES, EARLY 20TH C., FIVE, L 2":Including 1 salmon color enameled white metal case, with spool/thread holder at the interior, L. 2 1/4"; 1 German sterling and enameled case with thimble, needle compartment, spool/thread holder and scissors, stamped "Sterling Germany", L. 2 1/8"; 1 sterling case (only) engraved "Marie Louise" and stamped "Sterling" along with "WC", possibly for the Watrous Mfg. Co., L. 2"; 1 F & B sterling case with spool/thread/needle holder compartment at the interior, L. 2 1/4" and 1 painted/lacquered metal case, stamped "Made in Germany" at the interior, with a gilt thimble, needle holder/spool/thread compartment at the interior, L. 2".

The first mentioned enameled case has oxidation at the metal and a laceration to the metal at the underside, and the painted/lacquered metal has many losses to the decoration. RG
