Chinese lacquer, ivory, and mother of pearl panel. This panel depicts a young woman being carried in a carriage by two attendants. The heads and hands of the figures are ivory while their bodies are in mother of pearl. The background is a stunning mix of gold and black lacquer. The panel is enclosed in a gilt wood frame, which is backed by red and gold cloth. Measures 11 1/2" X 15" in the frame.
