Bambi Deer to My Heart Walt Disney Sericel Art

Comfortable in his home in the wooden thicket, newborn fawn Bambi looks up adoringly to his beloved mother.  This is a limited edition sericel that depicts characters from Walt Disney's 1942 classic animated cel featuring Bambi.  This sericel edition, "Deer to My Heart", recreates Sequence 1.2, Scene 29 of the film, originally animated by Ken O'Brien * The Walt Disney Studios has created this character image using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy.  Disney artists, working from the original animation drawings used for the production of Bambi as well as from the film reference materials, translated the original image to a hand-inked, hand-painted cel.  This cel was used as a reference in the production of these sericels.  A total of 24 colors are used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactingly screen-printed, one color at a time, onto a acetate cel.  This sericel is ready to be matted and framed. * Title: "Dear to My Heart" Medium: Acetate Cel Published by: Animated Animations Company Date of Publication: 1997 From a Limited Edition of 5000 Features Disney Printed SealCel Size: 11 1/2" x 14 1/2"Condition: Excellent This wonderful cel is something the whole family can enjoy! *   *
