This is a rare, sold out, limited edition Betty Boop sericel entitled "SUNDAY DRIVE". This cel comes matted and measures 15" x 17. This cel bears the APG Limited Edition serigraph seal in the bottom right corner. This cel is numbered 1608 from the edition of 1950. Produced by Fleischer Studios Inc. under the license of King Features Syndicate, Inc. Published by APG Publishing, Inc. This cel comes with a certificate of authenticity. Comes matted and can be framed or hung as is. In mint condition. This Fine Art series was produced in 1991 to re-create the look and feel of the original hand-painted cels, but is produced by serigraphy, a fine art process. A hand-cut master screen is prepared, for each color from original art prepared by studio artists. The serigrapher applies each color separately, one screen at a time, in perfect registration. The result is an original work of art.The image accompany this certificate is limited to 1,950 pieces. After the edition size has been researched, the screens used in creating it are destroyed, ensuring their limited status. This fine art Cel is a great collectible for any cartoon enthusiast.
