Scooby+ Scrappy Doo Signed Orig Model Cel Animation Art

Lot Passed

This is an original production animation model cel from the television series "Scooby Doo".  * Here are Shaggy, Scooby, and his nephew Scrappy Doo, all pictured side by side to give the animator an idea of their sizes in relation to one another. * Bob Singer's signature appears in black Sharpie at the bottom of the cel. * Bob Singer is an American animation artist, character designer, layout and background artist and storyboard director of animated television programs, most memorably of several Hanna Barbara productions such as The Flintstones, Jonny Quest, Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear, Droopy, Tom and Jerry, The Jetsons, The Smurfs, Superfriends, and the Harlem Globe Trotters cartoons. * Each episode of "Scooby Doo" featured Scooby and the four teenaged members of the Mystery, Inc. gang: Fred, Shaggy, Daphne and Velma, arriving to a location in the "Mystery Machine" and encountering a ghost, monster, or other supernatural creature that was terrorizing the local populace. After looking for clues and suspects, and being chased by the monster, the kids come to realize the ghost is anything but, and - often with the help of a Rube Goldberg-like trap designed by Fred - they capture the villain and unmask him. * Original Animated Cel, hand-painted, with peg holes along the bottom edge Overall Size of the Cel: 10 1/2" x 12 1/2" Series: 246 "Scooby and Scrappy Doo"Date: 5/5/81, with Hanna-Barbera Productions copyrightTitle: "Standard Size Comparison" * Excellent Condition -ready to be matted and framedThis is an original cel used in production.  Each one-of-a-kind set-up represents a slight change in position of the characters. When individually photographed and projected in rapid succession, the images appear to move. * To create production cels, the original animator's drawing is transferred onto an acetate cel (by hand-inking and/or photo copying). The cel is then hand-painted on the reverse side.  * * *
