Mid-century patinated metal wall sculpture. Circa 1950. Comprised of forty-four vertical bars. Each bar height 82", width 2 5/8". Condition: There are multiple holes in the metal panels which are the result of the fabrication. The finish is discolored and rusted in several places. Provenance: According to the Estate of Christine McNaughton the panel screen was commissioned in the early 1950's by Palm Beach Interior Designer Polly Jessup for Mr. and Mrs. Benson Ford. The structure was installed in the Ford home at 109 Kenwood Road, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Similar screens were made by Harry Bertoia for General Motors Technical Center, 1953, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, 1954.
