Description Central piece, circa 1560, with four outer plates added as later enhancements. Two armorer's touch marks are visible on the central piece. Tip of center piece has a highly embossed decoration. The base of the central piece displays nicely scalloped edging. The first two later enhancement plates feature the same scallop design while the two outer most enhancement plates feature a rope border design. Outer surfaces are in very good condition with light to moderate pitting on the outer plates and some patches of new rust, which can be easily cleaned. Inner surface is heavily covered in dark patination overall and a few areas with fresh red rust.
Condition (Excellent).
