Algerian Miquelet Rifle.

Description Circa 1760. Octagon barrel. Signed on top flat at breach, "L. Lazarino". Barrel held to stock with two embossed silver bands. Beautiful Miquelet lock embellished with engraved brass plates over springs. Hammer is highly engraved and partially overlaid with engraved brass. Frizzen engraved with crescent moon and stars in nighttime sky. Stock has ivory butt cap. Chip out of the top of the ivory, nice age cracks, and entire stock is overlaid with pierced and engraved sheets of silver inlaid with coral. Some coral is replaced. Good working condition.
Condition (Excellent). Size 53 - 1/2" L.
