Description Theodore B Starr, ca 1889
The oblong gravy boats with leafage-capped scroll handles, the oval bacon dish with a shallow well and large domed cover, all chased with a scrolling leafage band under rims and on borders, and on four cast paw feet; the sides engraved with script initials and dated inscription under base. All with maker's trademark, model number 168 and a star. Scratching and signs of use to bacon dish interior and gravy boats; Dated inscription "1864/Dec.5th/1889".
Length of gravy boats: 8 in; length of dish: 12 in; total weight: 77 oz. Size 12 - 1/4" L.
