Description Hester Bateman, London 1783

Old English pattern, comprising twelve table forks and twelve tablespoons, with bright-cut borders and vacant oval cartouches on the handles; together with a set of twelve table knives, Sheffield 1783 maker's mark R.T, with tapering reeded handles and steel blades. Light wear to tines and dents to knife handles. (36). Bright cutting crisp and sharp; very minor wear to ends of tines; minor dents to knife handles; blades with some unevenness but fairly regular and mostly clean.
Length of forks: 8-5/8; of spoons: 8-3/4 in.; weight: 53.6 oz. Size Largest: 11" L.
