Prince William V Creamware Tea Caddy
English, late 18th century, a Dutch-decorated tea caddy, one side painted with a bust-length portrait of Prince William V, his initials PWD5; the other, with Dutch inscription, translated: "As long as sun and moon will stand", the opening line to a Royalist verse that ends "...the Orange color will never perish" and numeral 3; ht. 4 in. (without lid). Condition reportLater lid. Several small chips to bottom rim. Repairs and restorations along bottom and top.
