English, ca 1790, a Dutch-decorated creamware scalloped edge plate, with a bust-length portrait believed to be Prince William V above the numeral 3 and inscription, translated (roughly): "This is what I saw at noon;" dia. 9.75 in. Condition reportHairline at upper right. Small rim chip and wear to rim. Areas of overpaint. Wear to enamel. Crazing throughout.
