A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch, the gilt dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, decoration to the centre, the round ornately decorated case, hallmarked London circa. 1876, personal engraving to the cuvette, fitted to a signed full plate fusee and chain with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 42mm. Total weight 64gms.
Condition report18ct gold key wind pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, dial has large patches of discolouration where dial has tarnished, there are light scratches visible to the dial from use, hands appear discoloured and the tip of the hours hand is bent, glass has medium scratches from use and residue is visible to the glass, case has light scratches from use, hinges are functioning well, dust cover has personal engraving which reads 'To Harriet Dodds. FROM HER AFFECTIONATE Father' hallmarks to bow are slightly rubbed. This lot does not come with box or papers. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of nay watches sold.
