A 20th century 9ct gold keyless wind open face pocket watch signed Thomas Russell & Son, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial with Arabic divisions, plain case, hallmarked Chester 1922, fitted with a signed ten jewel movement with a club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 50mm. Total weight 84gms.
Condition report9ct gold open face pocket watch, the keyless wind movement is currently functioning, the dial is dirty with a chip to the edge between five and six o'clock, the hour and minute hands are slightly scratched, the second hand is bent, the plexiglass is heavily yellowed, scratched and is loose in its bezel, the crown is a little worn, the bow is scratched, the case is covered with light scratches with dents to the case back and band, the movement hinge is distorted so that the movement does not swing free.
