A famous lady in China. Her husband was Liao Zhongkai who was a finance minister during the Sun Zhongshan period, the national government in China. Also she was a good female painter in China. She was good at drawing bird-flower painting. One of her greatest works were the plum blossom and tiger painting that made her well-known world-wide.
This is a fan face painting with birds and flowers, drawn in 1951. L: 25 3/4 in. (65.4cm)
