The Gorham pieces being the “Chantilly” pattern; all but the knives and cake server stamped on underside with GORHAM STERLING, the teaspoons additionally with “Chantilly;” the knives and cake server stamped on underside of blade with “GORHAM/STERLING HANDLE/STAINLESS BLADE;” the two non-Gorham pieces being a carving knife and fork set by a different manufacturer, marked on the handle with STERLING HANDLE. All in a large velvet-lined fitted rectangular wooden case with one drawer and a key.
The Gorham consisting of: 12 hollow-handled dinner knives, 11 dinner forks, 16 salad forks, 24 teaspoons, 6 iced tea spoons, 2 large serving spoons, 1 slotted serving spoon, 1 large serving fork, 1 gravy ladle, 1 master butter knife, 1 sugar shell spoon, and 1 cake server. Total silver weight 92.2 oz (2,615.7 gr).
Condition: The case with scratches on top, back, and one side; minor surface losses here and there. case: 8 ½ x 19 ¾ x 11 ¼ inches (21.6 x 50.2 x 28.1 cm)
