A DRAMATIC ITALIAN HAND-CARVED MARBLE AND STONE WALL FOUNTAIN ON PEDESTAL

The egg cartouche is supported by carved white Carrara marble, stepped S-scrolls that enclose a ground of rare blue veined white marble with a carved mask font of ochre stone above a ribbed cleft and flanked by outward scrolls. The wall fountain is supported by a grand clam shell form reservoir with a ribbed overflow. The whole raised on a tripartite base of hand-carved scrolls with dramatic volutes and joined by blue veined white marble reserves.
Condition: Some staining due to water below mask and in center of reservoir. Does not include pump or plumbing. 37 x 69 x 32 ½ inches (93.9 x 175.2 x 82.5 cm)
