A CAST BRONZE FIGURE OF MOZART PLAYING THE VIOLIN
20th Century
The near life-sized bronze figure having wavy hair tied in a bow and a concentrated expression with the violin under his chin; in period dress of a buttoned undercoat, tied cravat, and long outer coat with elegant cuffs and ruffled shirt exposed; wearing stockings and buckle shoes; depicted standing with one leg forward on what is presumed to be sheet music. The whole sculpture raised on a circular stepped plinth base; unsigned.

Condition: Patination to bronze; bow slightly bent; one minor loss and one minor scratch. 59½ x 18 x 18 inches (51.1 x 45.7 x 45.7 cm)
