A LOUIS XV BRONZE AND GILT BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK
19th Century Two cherubs, one holding a gilded hour glass, lounge on a fluted bronze doré column with enamled face and Roman numerals. An illegible name on the clock face, which is encircled with a laurel leaf garland of gilt bronze. All raised on a shaped plinth base with a central egg cartouche and chased acanthus plumes. The mechanism stamped on the door twice with ""08 W."" Condition: Patination to bronze and gilt bronze particularly on acanthus leaves.
