A SEVRÈS STYLE TWO-HANDLED GILT BRONZE MOUNTED COMPOTE
French, Early 19th Century The circular cerulean blue ground porcelain compote having a central reserve featuring two women sharing a love note in a rural setting being approached by a young man; supported by a gilt bronze two-handled Empire style base; maker's mark on plate underside of interlocking double ""L""s with 7 in the center and a green stamped oval with a diagonal stamped line within.
