19th Century Each elaborately detailed figure dressed in eighteenth century clothing with capes billowing in the wind; the maiden holding a basket of flowers in her right hand with a lamb standing at her left side; the gentleman holding three flowers in his right hand with an attentive dog sitting at his right side; the base formed by shells and large foliate scrolls; small red maker's or painter's mark on lower back side of tree stump. Condition: Woman: one flower cluster missing from tree stump; one leaf and a few leaf tips broken off flowers on ground; a few leaf tips and petal edges broken off flowers in basket and in her hand; one loop of ribbon bow on hat broken off. Man: one flower cluster missing from tree stump; one leaf tip broken off a flower on ground; a few leaf tips and petal edges broken off flowers in his hand; one loop of ribbon bow on hat and knickers broken off..
