A PAIR OF BIEDERMEIER STYLE VITRINE CABINETS WITH SHELVES
Late 19th Century The pair of matching mahogany vitrines in warm honey tones with ebonized trim and gilt detail. Featuring a closed pediment, locking glazed double doors, and slender ebonized columns with foliate carved gilt capitals. Originally built to collapse flat, they have been permanently assembled at some point in the distant past. Condition: Veneer repair to the glazing on one, surface scratching to the finish with variations in color on both. Five of the original eight mortised keys are missing from the interior locking mechanisms. One key missing and one back replaced with age appropriate materials.
