A PAIR OF LOUIS XV STYLE BRONZE DORÉ FIGURAL SEVEN-LIGHT CANDELABRA
Each candelabrum features two baby mermaids entwined around a cornucopia they hold aloft, the cornucopia containing shells, flowers, and fruit; sprouting from this are six leafy curving stems surrounding a seventh straight one, each ending in a flower candlecup; the baby mermaids sit on a rock surrounded by waves and set atop a circular two-tier rose marble base encircled by a ring of bronze doré cattails, all resting on four large bronze doré feet in the form of sea monster masks.


Both with many small areas of gilt loss, some oxidized to green; both with wax residue and droplets from previous use. 28 ½ x 12 x 12 inches (72.3 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm)
