A PAIR OF DRESDEN / MEISSEN ROCOCO STYLE PORCELAIN SIX LIGHT SCONCES
19th Century, Marked on back with Herrold markings
The white porcelain swirling acanthus candlecups and bobeches are supported by S-scroll arms of acanthus delicate flowers and cascade berries all supported by a shaped plaque with a shell form crest and acanthus scrolls with beading which surround a pair of cherubs flanking a beaded empty oval cartouche. Marked in blue with crossed swords and crosses attributed to Herrold.
Condition: overall very good. Previously wired. Restorations to all arms where they join the back. A few minor chips of flower petals. 18 1/2 x 13 1/2 12 1/2 inches (46.9 x 34.2 x 31.7 cm)
