France, Late 19th/Early 20th Century
The central lid decorated with a raised painted gilt enamel floral wreath encircling the initials H A under a crown and above a coat of arms, signed Mereeau Viviemm in black on the blue ground; the three hinged lids having embossed cast gilt metal mounts, lined interior; the underside marked with underglaze blue interlaced L's enclosing the letter S above FRANCE.
Minor surface scratches to top. 2 1/4 X 12 X 4 5/8 inches (5.7 x 30.4 x 11.7 cm)
