A FRENCH BRONZE DORÉ AND MARBLE INKWELL
Late 19th Century
The rectangular dark marble ink stand having a long narrow depressed pen tray along the front, with two bronze d'oré cylindrical lidded inkwells on top, each decorated with four sculptural birds around the side with fleur-de-lis in between; the front of the marble slab with a floral and foliate bronze decoration, supported at the corners by a shell-form ornament and lion's paw foot. 6 ¾ x 15 ½ x 10 inches (17.2 x 39.4 x 25.4 cm)
