A WHIMSICAL CAST BRONZE LAMP OF NAPOLEON
Circa 1915, with plaque stamped ""VEILLE de WAGRAM Par Salesio (Sculpt)""
The bronze novelty lamp depicts Napoleon dozing by a fireplace; the title on the plaque ""Veille de Wagram"" (eve of Wagram) refers to the night before the Battle of Walgram of 1809 pitting him successfully against the Austrian Empire.
. Condition: Oxidation to finish. Electrified. Overall very good condition. 15 x 14 x 8 inches (38.1 x 35.5 x 20.3 cm)
