A GEORGE III STYLE INLAID OCTAGONAL OAK AND WALNUT WINE CELLARET ON STAND
Late 18th Century

The oak and walnut cellaret has an octagonal form, lift top, and satinwood Adams oval inlays on the sides; with satinwood stringer inlay at the lip and base; the body rests on a conforming stand with flaring square section legs; lacking key. Condition: The center medallion replaced with blank walnut veneer; some veneer lifting and cracking; later hinges; some splitting and minor inactive worm damage; patina to wood finish. 27 x 20 ½ x 20 ½ inches (68.6 x 52.1 x 52.1 cm)
