AN ENGLISH REGENCY STYLE TAPESTRY-UPHOLSTERED ARMCHAIR
Mid-20th Century
The rectilinear back with subtle humpback crest rail and needlepoint fabric featuring a maiden and her betrothed in a garden scene and upholstered seat featuring needlepoint with a rural scene surrounded by a floral wreath. All raised on scroll-form mahogany cabriole legs with acanthus and scroll-form relief carving at the knee.
Condition: Outside back upholstered in velvet. Tapestries in very good condition. 40 x 29 x 22 inches (101.6 x 73.6 x 55.8 cm)
