A probably Boston roundabout chair, with shell carved crest rail and knee bracket, with carved and shaped splats, and turned arm supports, with claw and ball front foot, unusual is the crest rail carving, and full pad rear feet, instead of the simple turn button feet of most roundabout chairs, with Bargello needle point seat, and turned x form stretcher, 32.5" H x 31.25" W x 23" D, circa 18th century. Condition replaced corner blocks to bottom of seat, back pressed rail with repaired break, one small H crack to one splat, with an early refinish, otherwise a very nice example.
