Depicting a seated lady with black robe, in the style or school of Ammi Phillips, Apparently unsigned but very well done, 29.25" H x 24.5" W sight, 34" H x 29.25" W framed. Circa 1830. Mounted in its original giltwood frame. Provenance: property of a Massachusetts family. Condition original untouched condition, not relined and it appears to have never been cleaned, .5" L tear upper right.
